Another reason behind his departure is that he’s been selected to be the England’s new test coach. The kiwi player has so far had the wonderful journey in the IPL and said, he’ follow this team (KKR) moving forward.
“As a coach, to be part of the IPL and to be able to give guys some freedom to go out there and play with a real positive attitude and try and impose themselves on the world stage is something I am truly grateful for. I have had a great time over the last few years, we did not get it done this year but I think we played some great cricket. Last year was an amazing story and I will follow this team (KKR) going forward. I know they are in great hands with the skipper in Shreyas and all the support staff. So yeah, watch out for KKR next year,”
From smashing 158* in our very first game to mentoring the rising stars as a coach ?

The KKR after their defeat against the Lucknow Super Giants was knocked off the tournament and but the team is the two-time winners of the IPL. Surprisingly, neither the five or the four nor the two-time IPL champions have been able to qualify the TATA IPL playoffs, but the two new team added this has done. Both the debutant team added this year, the Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants.
Will be interesting to see which team will reach the final and take trophy this time!!
