Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Denver Nuggets 133-96 in a match that had them without defense or attitude to the point of tiring none other than Magic Johnson – Playon99 News

It was a night to forget for the Los Ángeles Lakers and the situation is no longer a matter of a simple streak or moment.

The game against the Denver Nuggets has been a turning point that serves to corroborate something that was already amply demonstrated: the Lakers are very bad.

The Nuggets overwhelmed the Lakers with a 37-point loss that was extraordinary for them and very painful for the Angelenos.

Although the lack of attitude can make you think that they do not care so much what is happening.

The Lakers only competed in the first quarter and received 51.6% from the field, 23 triples -in 40 attempts, more than 57%- 57 points from the local bench and 23 points in transition.

The surprise is that they were only 73-60 down at halftime after two quarters in which Denver touched 70% in triples.

Los Ángeles turned over ten balls, allowed an unbelievable amount of loose shots, couldn’t protect the zone and, most worryingly, never managed to shift gears to pull on a non-existent pride or attempt any kind of comeback.

Nikola Jokic led the party with 17 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists, Jeff Green went to 26 points -with 10 of 14 in field goals and 4 of 5 in triples- Bones Hyland, from the bench, went to a spectacular double-double of 27-10.

Magic Johnson, a five-time champion as a player, was furious on Twitter and made it clear that this is not just a criticism of PlayOn99 News.

LeBron James pulls the car alone and got 25 points and 9 rebounds, although he shot poorly: 9 of 23 shots and 2 of 8 triple attempts, something he has already tried in many games in which he puts his batteries in the last quarter and returns to penetrate and defend.

This time, the Lakers didn’t make it to that point alive, which didn’t stop The King from being the only player of the night to be on court for more than 30 minutes.

The defeat in a direct duel like against the Nuggets leaves them further and further away from avoiding the play-in: 21-22, again in negative and two games behind those from Colorado.

The options are gone, the best in the competition are light years away and victories only come when a 37-year-old man in his 19th season starts doing heroics.
