Team India is One Win Away From Win Most T20i Matches In A Row- IND-SA

Key Highlights

  • Team India just one victory away from becoming world’s first team to achieve 13 victories in a row
  • Team India stands 12th on the position currently along with Afghanistan and Romania
  • Rahul Dravid as coach seems least worried about the record and said he haven’t given it a thought

The team India is all set to begin their first ever match after the IPL is over. And this match here we are talking about is the most awaited one, between India vs South Africa commencing from tomorrow. The match is held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium situated in Delhi and for which the training session between both the team are undergoing.

But do you know that the Indian team is just one victory away from becoming the first team in the world to win 13 consecutive wins after this match. Yes, you heard it right!! Tomorrow, right after this match, the winning streak will continue or it will be broken, it is just a matter of time, luck and hard work both teams have made.

The highlight of this game will be whether the captain of this particular series, KL Rahul, will be able to help the team achieve the feat as three key players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will not be a part of it. But if KL Rahul manages to help his team win this game, the feat achieved will be quite remarkable in the history of the leading captain.

So, from where did this journey started after all?

The journey of this going to achieve milestone started from the year 2021 during the T20 World Cup Tournament held in UAE last year. Let have a look one after another team, the team India won against:

  • India defeated Afghanistan by 66 runs as their first Victory
  • India defeated Scotland by 8 wickets as their second victory
  • India defeated Namibia by 9 wickets as their third victory
  • India defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets as their fourth victory
  • India defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets as their fifth Victory
  • India defeated New Zealand by yet again 73 runs as their sixth
  • India defeated West Indies by 6 wickets as their seventh Victory
  • India defeated West Indies again by 8 runs as their eighth victory
  • India defeated West Indies again by 17 runs as their nineth victory
  • India defeated Sri Lanka by 62 runs as their tenth victory
  • India defeated Sri Lanka again by 7 wickets as their eleventh victory
  • India defeated Sri Lanka again by 6 wickets as their twelfth victory

Well, for the as we all are excited there is someone who is least bothered about and he is none other than the coach of Team Indian, Rahul Dravid who said,

“Honestly, we haven’t thought about the record, we are not really paying attention to it. Its nice to win games. But we are not worried about creating records or creating numbers”

Now how really honest was Mr. Dravid in his statement like the above but one thing is there and that is the team would like to start the series competitive and to do so, they will put their maximum to win the match. Once they win the match, the record will automatically be recorded.

Rahul Dravid is not only “the wall” of the Indian cricket team but also is very practical, honest, hardworking and very clever personnel and who’s presence itself is sufficient for his team.

Lets’ hope for the best!!
