Serie A – Inter is leader and great games

Inter Milan rose to the top of Serie A thanks to two goals from defenders Bastoni and Skriniar. Milan had won their match 3-0, while Napoli narrowly delivered and Juventus drew off an incredible game against Roma.

Inter Milan, who still have a match pending, defeated Lazio 2-1 to be back on top of Serie A with 49 points.

The Nerazzurri triumph was formed from defense: the two goals were signed by two central defenders. Alessandro Bastoni at 30 minutes and Milan Skriniar after game time.

Simone Inzaghi, who was reunited with his former team, can be excused for the loss of Hakan Çalhanoglu. Inter lacked lucidity in the game, although they had good chances in the first half.

Lautaro Martínez starred in the first two. The former Racing de Avellaneda saw a goal disallowed for offside at 17 minutes, after solving a heads-up after a good pass filtered by Alexis. Shortly after, at 28, Thomas Strakosha deflected a shot from Lautaro himself.

The 1-0, finally, reached 30 ‘thanks to Bastoni scoring a great goal. He took a rebound-up front and hit the post to score his first goal in this Serie A.

Inter threw their lead to the ground five minutes later: Danilo Cataldi sent a long pass, Stefan de Vrij and Skriniar measured poorly and Ciro Immobile took advantage of the failure to score the equalizer.

The Italian striker reached 15 goals in Serie A and only Dusan Vlahovic (16) surpassed him in Capocannoniere’s title race.

The second part had less level. It was difficult for Inter to get there. Although the defense, again, came to the rescue.

In the 67th minute, Bastoni served a measured delivery and Skriniar, coming in hard, headed for goal with a shot that he tapped off the crossbar before going inside.

The day had not started well for Inter Milan’s 3-0 victory over Venezia allowed the Rossoneri (48 points) to rise to the top of Serie A provisionally, but the victory of Inzaghi’s team put them back in first place.

Inter Milan thrashed and was a pointer for a moment

Inter Milan beat Venezia 3-0 with a goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a double from Theo Hernández and, for a moment, led Serie A.

Inter had not yet played their match and left those led by Stefano Pioli with hope, who accumulate three consecutive victories against rivals who could get points.

Napoli narrowly fulfilled

The South Italian team defeated Sampdoria thanks to a lone goal by Andrea Petagna and remains third, five points behind Milan and six points from Inter.

Naples, without Koulibaly, Anguissa and Ounas because they traveled to AFCON, got three important points, but lost Lorenzo Insigne: the new Toronto player was injured due to muscle problems and worries about the crossing with Barcelona for the Europa League.

Juventus-Roma, epic match

José Mourinho’s team lived a party with a 3-1 in favor, but Álvaro Morata and Arthur entered after game time and turned the scoreboard.

The Spanish striker participated in the following three goals: he assisted Locatelli for the discount, finished for the rebound that Kulusevski connected in the tie and unblocked the play of the fourth goal converted by De Sciglio.

The game had started with an advantage from Roma thanks to a goal from Tammy Abraham, but minutes later Paulo Dybala leveled with an exquisite punch.

Mkhitaryan and Pellegrini put a 3-1 lead for Mourinho’s men, who later failed to hold the result and fell apart. At the end, Juventus owes its extra life to Szczesny: the Polish goalkeeper covered a penalty that would have meant a draw for Roma.
