By Facundo Di Bona (@facudibona).

Arsenal – Brentford (8:30 PM)

The Gunners have four games in hand on West Ham -last in the Champions League- and must win to get closer to the long-awaited return to Europe.

Brentford accumulates five consecutive defeats and needs to win to move away from the red zone. To do so, they will be without Christian Eriksen, star addition who is still getting fit.

It will be a great tactical duel and we should not get carried away by the moment Brentford is going through. The only mandatory absentee will be Arsenal, who will be without Gabriel Martinelli due to suspension.

Arsenal: Ramsdale; Soares, White, Magalhaes, Tierney; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Smith-Rowe; Lacazette.

Brentford: Raya; Canós, Ajer, Jansson, Pinnock, Henry; Jensen, Norgaard, Janelt; Mbeumo, Wissa.

It will not be a match to pay attention to the odds of Arsenal (1.5) and Brentford (7), but to alternatives outside the result: +2.5 goals pay 2.12 odds and, although the Gunners are a team of few goals, Brentford has the characteristic of conceding many and scoring a few.

There is one player per side that looks good to go because they will receive some card: Gabriel Magalhaes with 5.5 odds and a record of three cards in this Premier League, accompanied by Pontus Jannson with 4.75 odds and a record of four yellow cards.

Aston Villa – Watford (8:30 PM)

The Villans will have at home the worst team in this Premier League and not because of what the standings say: Watford has not won since November 20, 2021 and their performance on the pitch is deplorable.

With the arrival of Roy Hodgson to the Watford bench, a coach identical to Ranieri and who will have no effect, they have drawn one and lost two matches against West Ham and Brighton, without even scoring a goal.

Aston Villa did not show a good image in the last match against Newcastle and will have to solve their irregularity under Steven Gerrard. Ezri Konsa was sent off in the last match and will not be able to play.

Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Chambers, Mings, Digne; McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Ramsey; Buendia, Ings, Coutinho.

Watford: Foster; Femenia, Cathcart, Samir, Kamara; Sarr, Sissoko, Louza, Cleverley; King, Dennis.

Spells are meant to be broken and Watford have gone three games without scoring: if they score just one goal, the odds are 1.56 and that both will score 1.83. Aston Villa has scored in all Premier League matches.

Crystal Palace – Chelsea (8:30 PM)

The world champions returned to England to stay in town and travel to London’s glass house.

Without Connor Gallagher, ineligible because he is on loan from the Blues, Crystal Palace will have to break their four-game winless streak against a Chelsea side that has ups and downs and holes to come in.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are a long way off the top in the Premier League, but they can’t relax as they are close to fifth and bottom in the European standings.

Crystal Palace: Guaita; Clyne, Andersen, Guéhi, Mitchell; McArthur, Kouyaté, Schlupp; Olise, Ayew, Zaha.

Chelsea: Mendy; Christensen, Silva, Rudiger; Ziyech, Kanté, Jorginho, Sarr; Havertz, Lukaku, Pulisic.

+2.5 goals in total have odds of 2.07, while a goal by Romelu Lukaku pays 2.8 odds.
