Premier League – Ranieri will no longer be Watford manager

Watford sacked Ranieri as first team manager and at PlayOn99 News we always tell you about the poor performance he had in the Premier League. The Hornets are in the relegation zone and will have to find a man willing to save them.

By Facundo Di Bona (@facudibona).

It was a rumor and the time has come: Watford dispensed with the services of Claudio Ranieri just 14 games after his arrival, according to The Athletic.

As manager of the Hornets, he had only one of the last 24 points in play in the Premier League and never made a good impression in any of the games.

Watford’s only two wins in the tournament under Ranieri’s management came between October and November and, coincidentally, both came against teams higher up the table.

The first came in Claudio’s second game in charge of the team with a 5-2 win against Rafa Benítez’s poor Everton, while the second, three days later, was another 4-1 win against Manchester United, which meant the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The point achieved against Newcastle ten days ago ended up rounding off these seven points that have been insufficient to keep the team afloat and put Watford in the relegation zone, two points behind Norwich City with two games in hand.

His team also did not have a great time in the FA Cup, where they lost a 4-1 defeat in the first round against Leicester.

Since he won the Premier League in 2016 with the Foxies, no team managed by Claudio Ranieri has left good impressions and from the football side we always explain it on PlayOn99News.

Watford will have to find a coach to face the difficult task of saving himself from relegation and not going down to the Championship and the only name that slipped is that of Roy Hodgson.
