Chelsea is going through a crisis due to being owned by Abramovich and this could cause some players to leave the club. Lukaku is the target to recover a big investment.
By Facundo Di Bona (@facudibona).
Since the outbreak of the war between Russia and Ukraine, things are not quite in London: Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea, was targeted from minute zero for having relations with Vladimir Putin and the British government applied sanctions to the Blues.
Chelsea’s delicate moment could accelerate, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, the departure of Romelu Lukaku.
According to the Italian daily, Inter Milan would be interested in having Lukaku back for next season, although for it to happen it would have to have three mandatory points.

First of all, Abramovich would have to finalize the sale of Chelsea so that the purchase, transfers, and even ticket revenues would be released.
Then it would be up to Chelsea’s board to make an effort to sell the player – with a mandatory option to buy – and fit into Inter Milan’s finances.

Finally, Lukaku would also have to resign a large part of his salary, although it would not be a problem as the striker recently stated that it was a mistake to leave Inter Milan, a place where he was very comfortable and from which he left because of the refusal to increase his salary:
“It shouldn’t have happened that way and I’m sorry for the fans. It was not the right time. I have Inter Milan in my heart and I hope to play there again. I want from the bottom of my heart to return to Inter Milan. I don’t want to do it at the end of my career, but when I’m still at the highest level”
Anyway, it seems an impossible mission for Inter Milan and an attempt to wish for something they can’t get for Serie A: Lukaku was bought by Chelsea in August 2021 for €115 million.
? It’s understood that Lukaku is appalled by the speculation linking him with a move and believes it’s a time for everyone at Chelsea to stick together.

The huge investment made by the London club and the management in charge of Marina Granovskaia is practically impossible for Inter Milan to match at the moment and at Chelsea they are not at all foolish to give away such an important asset at a time of crisis.
To the information launched by La Gazzeta dello Sport, was added a counter-bet by The Daily Telegraph, British media, which immediately refuted that Lukaku is upset with the speculation and wants to stay at Chelsea.
