Brentford crushed Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and filled them with speculation. The Blues have ahead of them the match against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Tuchel’s side had 12 minutes to forget against a team that had Eriksen as a key player.

Chelsea fell like a house of cards against a Brentford that took advantage of the team’s disconnection. The Blues had taken the lead, but the joy barely lasted a couple of minutes.
Rüdiger opened the scoring for Chelsea, but Janelt, Eriksen, and Wissa made it 1-4 for history at Stamford Bridge.
The match between Chelsea and Brentford had barely 45 minutes of soccer after a first half to forget for both teams. In the second half, Thomas Tuchel’s side took the lead through Rüdiger’s foot-pointer.
The German defender, who is free next June and can leave for free to any team, shot from long distance to convert.

With the team up for sale, the accounts frozen, with no possibility of contract renewals or economic management in line with their demands, Chelsea was still rowing against everyone. The boat, for the first time this season, went down at the worst possible time.
Just days before hosting Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League, Stamford Bridge saw its team unravel. The defensive fragility Chelsea showed after Rüdiger’s goal is inexplicable in a reigning European champion.

Chelsea’s joy at being on top only lasted two minutes. Janelt scored the first of his two goals to level the match with a shot from the edge of the box.
Christian Eriksen, four minutes after the equalizer, scored his third goal in the last three games. Eriksen was coming off an international matchday to remember thanks to his two goals in consecutive games for Denmark.
Never seen a story like this: Christian Eriksen’s inspirational return from Cardiac Arrest continues. The Danish star has 3 goals in last 4 games for club and country. An elite player who has faced death and become transcendent ?pic.twitter.com/EIIvrYKusn

He also made his debut for Brentford, the club that welcomed him after he left Inter Milan because of his heart problem. It was Eriksen who scored on a tremendous counter-attack to turn the score around. However, Chelsea’s defense contributed in a big way to make it happen.
Janelt on the hour mark, just 12 minutes after Rüdiger’s goal, made it 1-3. The Brentford player took advantage of the gaps left behind by the Chelsea backline to the silence of Stamford Bridge.

Wissa in the 87th minute, capitalizing on a mistake by Rudiger, made it 1-4. Brentford took all three points from Stamford Bridge and sowed Chelsea’s skies with doubt. London will host Real Madrid in the Champions League Quarter-Finals, but the champions are far from assured.
