Brighton & Hove Albion defeated Tottenham Hotspur by 1-0. And took over North London.
Tottenham lost the opportunity to escape in the fight for the Champions League places. On top of that, Manchester United won their match.
Antonio Conte’s men could not withstand the resistance of a Brighton that held the 90 minutes. And who scored in stoppage time, through a great run by Leandro Trossard. The Italian coach had recovered from COVID-19 in time to be at the stadium.

Brighton has become the obstacle that has prevented Tottenham from putting six points behind Arsenal. And they had been their allies just a week ago when they beat the Gunners. But now they are victimizers.
With no luck throughout the match, Tottenham met the final blow in the 90th minute. When Trossard took advantage of a dead ball in the box to cut out a defender. And toe-poke the ball past Hugo Lloris.
What a finish by Leandro Trossard to win it for Brighton against Tottenham!

The goal left Tottenham in fourth place with 57 points. Only three ahead of Arsenal, who also have a game in hand.

Arsenal did not do their homework
Anyway, there was a sigh of relief at Tottenham. Because Arsenal failed to do their homework against Southampton.
Arteta’s side went down to the Saints 1-0. And they missed the chance to stay within a shot of the Champions League places.

Jad Bednarek was Arsenal’s executioner at the end of the first half. The Pole shot violently inside the box. After a good run and assist from Elyounoussi.
The decisive goal helped Southampton return to winning ways after six games. In addition, Arsenal accumulated only one victory in the last five matches.
Something that has taken them away from the hopes of qualifying for the Champions League. And they will have to work hard in the final stretch of the Premier League to return to a European competition.
