Neymar twists his ankle in a horrific freak injury during a Ligue 1 match.



Ligue 1: During PSG’s latest play against Saint-Etienne, Neymar was the victim of a horrible tackle. PSG’s attacker injured his ankle and had to be stretchered off the field.

The nature of the injury is unknown at this time, as the French club has not issued an official statement.
Sergio Ramos, the former Real Madrid captain who joined PSG during the summer transfer window, made his long-awaited debut in the match.

During Paris Saint-(PSG) Germain’s recent Ligue 1 match against Saint-Etienne on Sunday, Braziliansensation Neymar was stretchered off with an ankle injury. PSG won 3-1 despite Lionel Messi’s injury, with Lionel Messi grabbing a hat-trick of assists. Neymar’s ankle was twisted beneath the opponent’s leg after a sliding tackle in the final minutes of the game. The ex-Barcelona forward appeared to be in anguish and was carried out in tears.

Denis Bouanga beat the offside trap to score past Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 23rd minute, giving Saint-Etienne a surprise lead. At halftime, however, Saint-confidence Etienne’s was dashed when Timothee Kolodziejczak was sent off for a crunching tackle on Kylian Mbappe, earning him a red card from the referee.

PSG now has 40 points from 15 games, which puts them atop the Ligue 1 table. Rennes is in second

place with 28 points, while Nice is in third place with 26 points. With 25 points, Lens is in fourth place.
