Minnesota Timberwolves experienced another good performance by Towns and defeated Los Angeles Lakers to hand them their third consecutive loss. LeBron James’ team is going through a difficult moment and its inclusion in the NBA Play-Ins is in danger.

Los Angeles Lakers suffered their third consecutive loss and their fifteenth in the last twenty games against the Minnesota Timberwolves by 124-104.

Shaquille O’Neil strong words accusing the team of embarrassing the Lakers name have been forgotten and they delivered another dismal performance like the two previous games against Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors.

In Minnesota Timberwolves it was again Karl-Anthony Towns the one in charge of the reins and signed the game’s top scorer with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist with only 27 minutes on the court.

The Wolves live a completely different present than the Lakers and are seventh in the Western Conference and pushing a game and a half behind the Denver Nuggets to enter the Playoffs.

Los Angeles Lakers are in a more than worrisome shape, with a 29-40 record, they are ninth in the West and two and a half games behind the San Antonio Spurs -who won this game- with the latent possibility of being left out of the Play-In.

Karl-Anthony Towns, king of the three-pointers in the last NBA All-Star Game, was slowed down by fouls during the game, but despite not being able to play many minutes, he was again decisive for the victory of Minnesota Timberwolves.

In Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James scored 19 points, collected 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists, although he had a lousy 1 of 8 in three-pointers in a bad day for his entire team, which only converted 10 of 45 three-point attempts.

Anthony Edwards (27+6+4) and Patrick Beverley (18+6+1) completed the top 3 records in Minnesota Timberwolves, while Carmelo Anthony (16+3+1) and Russell Westbrook (15+4+5) did it in Los Angeles Lakers.

The development was basically the story of these Lakers in the NBA regular season: Minnesota Timberwolves defined the scoreboard in the first and second quarters with 31-17 and 67-46 partials.

Los Angeles Lakers again threatened a comeback in the third quarter by cutting 12 points, but in the last quarter they showed again that they are one of the worst teams in the NBA and gave up almost all the lead they had taken away.
