Milwaukee Bucks swept the Golden State Warriors 118-99 and sent a clear message that they are the reigning champions of the National Basketball Association and are going for more.

The green team had an impressive offensive work that served to take a 39-point lead over the Warriors in the first half.

Giannis Antetokoumpo was indefensible and took off the MVP cape again, although he had the great company of Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis to attack as if they had a rookie team in front of them.

The first two quarters of the game ended with a score of 77-38 in favor of the Bucks and it went down in history.

It was the biggest difference against Golden State in the first half since the franchise moved to California for the 1962-63 season.

In addition, it was the second best mark in favor in a first half of Milwaukee history, only surpassed by the +41 they had against the Orlando Magic this season.

Antetokounmpo and Portis teamed up for a total of 40 points in that half, which was more than the team led by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson could score.

The two Warriors figures were missing: Curry scored only 12 and Thompson, justified by his return to the courts, 11.

The top scorer for Golden State was Andrew Wiggins with 16 points and it was shown that his team still has a long way to go if it wants to be strong in the Playoffs.

Milwaukee had Antetokounmpo’s MVP and All-Star Game worthy performance with a triple-double: 30 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

Third triple-double of this regular season and the third time he has scored that many points in just half an hour on the track.

Middleton accompanied him with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists, while Portis registered 20 points and 7 rebounds.

The Milwaukee Bucks demonstration was impressive and, despite being fourth in the Eastern Conference, they showed that no one should forget their condition: they are the current NBA champions.

  1. It’s all in the mix, I guess. When he’s on, the ball movement stagnates on offense. In Iso D, he’s Great! but, when he’s on, their D set doesn’t get “set”?!? More time?

    • He played just three games after almost two years and only 20 minutes in each. We will have to give time because if he gets fit physically, will be decisive in the Playoffs.

      Thanks for your comment.

  2. Good game last night against Minn.! Can’t wait until Golden State has everyone back!?!
Saturday night’s (Nets) game, should be a good (sans Draymond & Wiseman) test.
