NBA – Harden and Embiid work their magic for Philadelphia 76ers

Watch out, NBA, there’s an explosive duo! The Sixers released Harden and the duo with Embiid promises to be fearsome. Something impressive is brewing and National Basketball Association teams should be concerned heading into the Playoffs.

The James Harden era began for the Philadelphia 76ers and it was with a crushing 133-102 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Harden debuted in his new team with 27 points (7/12 from the field including 5/7 three-pointers), 8 rebounds and 12 assists, but above that was the complicity with Joel Embiid, the other big star of the team, who signed a new personal double-double of 34+10+3.

Positive gestures and good vibes between the two to crush the Timberwolves and for Philadelphia to rub their hands together for the Harden-Simmons market move. The newcomer from the Nets already has more three-pointers than Ben made in his time in Philly.

On first impression it is already positive and a clear warning to the rest of the NBA teams: if Harden and Embiid team up, they can be lethal and a fearsome opponent in the Playoffs.

There is potential in the Philadelphia team with two of the most decisive players in the tournament and the duo had a sum that was lethal in Minnesota: 61 points, 18 rebounds and 15 assists.

After his controversial departure from Brooklyn Nets and after overcoming an injury, Harden finally put on the Sixers jersey for a game that could be a turning point in the National Basketball Association regular season.

Harden started, dropped some of his classic step-back three-pointers – including one with an added foul – and his team won by 35 while he was on the court.

Philadelphia 76ers is the third franchise with which he debuted with at least 25 points and 12 assists. Previously it had been with the Houston Rockets and the Nets, where he started well and finished poorly.

So much talk about the stars of the moment can make a player who was key in the game go unnoticed. Tyrese Maxey slipped into the star duo with 28 points in 33 minutes of play.

On the Minnesota side, Karl-Anthony Towns (25), D’Angello Russell (21) and Anthony Edwards (15) were the top scorers. A very poor performance against a team that had three players above their best.

The Sixers moved away in third place in the Eastern Conference and with just over 20 games left to play they are all set to go into the Playoffs as favorites.
