NBA – Brooklyn Nets stumbled at home

Basketball news: Brooklyn disappointed at home against the Thunder, Memphis continues its historic streak and Denver swept its rival with showtime. Followed all the NBA news on PlayOn99 News.

Without Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Brooklyn Nets fell 130-109 to the Oklahoma City Thunder in their fourth game in five days and went 11-11 at home.

After his return to the National Basketball Association, Irving’s absence from home games due to not being vaccinated against the coronavirus took its toll on the team.

Brooklyn Nets can blame both of its back-to-backs: it had to rush back from Chicago yesterday after beating the Bulls and became the first team since 1973 to play Atlantic and Pacific times on consecutive days.

On the court, James Harden was the only one to put a face to the slapping and was joined in the quintet by two rookies and two rotation players.

The Beard said that he had to fall asleep that same day at 7 in the morning due to the trip from Chicago and he hardly had time to rest.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the best player of the game and gave Oklahoma the assured victory with a double-double: 33 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds.

Memphis keeps partying

In the best streak in its history, the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-108 for 11 consecutive victories.

Ja Morant, star of the Grizzlies, did not have the best version of him and registered 16 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists, to leave the place of top scorers to Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson: 21 and 20 points, respectively.

The encounter was even, but Minnesota collapsed towards the end and gave up the victory to a much more even Memphis at the level of all relays.

The Wolves registered the three best numbers of the night: Anthony Edwards with 30 points, D’Angello Russell with 29 points and Karl-Anthony Towns with 25 points.

Denver complied

The Denver Nuggets humbled the Portland Trail Blazers 140-108 at home and beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the Playoffs entry.

Will Barton was the best with 21 points, Nikola Jokic had 20 with 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Jeff Green contributed 19 points.

Although all eyes were on the short young man, Facundo Campazzo, who scored with a double-double of 18 points and 12 assists -some fantastic- in 28 minutes where he owned the show with a feint between the opponent’s legs .
