‘Mujhe samajh mein nahi aata charcha kyu ho rahi hai… Rohit Sharma on virat kohli

Rohit Sharma has once again come in full support of Virat Kohli. The captain is fed up with the regular gossip, and the unnecessary statements from outsiders and seems pretty miffed and concerned by the way things are taking place for the former captain.

In the second ODI against England, Virat Kohli was once again dismissed for just 16 runs, and it was not only Virat in that position, but in fact everyone who played one way or the other was.Interestingly, fingers were as usual pointed towards Kohli only.

Seemingly, fed up with the news around Rohit during the press conference was seen defending Virat again by saying,

“Kyun ho rahi hn yaar, matlab mjhe samajh me nhn aata bhai”

(“Why is there so much of discussion, I can’t understand this”)

Adding to it further, Rohit also reminded the media of how great batter is he, and has played so many matches for the team,

“He has played so many matches over such a long period of time. He is such a great batter, so he does not need reassurance”

In the 2nd ODI match against England, Rohit won the toss, and probably looking at the pitch condition, decided to bowl first. Coming to bat, the england team as usual as before didn’t seem very confident at all, and lost wickets in very short intervals. But in the midst of the raging storm, three players, in the form of Liam Livingstone (33 off 33), Moeen Ali (47 off 64) and David Willey, the England team, were able to score a respectable 246 runs, at least for them to be able to defend properly.

But what happened with the English side, did happen with the Indian side as well. From the first over itself, the Indian top batting order looked shaky and wickets kept tumbling down consistently. Unlike the likes of their counterparts such as Liam Livingstone (33 off 33), Moeen Ali (47 off 64) and David Willey, there was barely someone who could have stuck till the end and helped the team win.

The Indian side collapsed at 146 for all out and the England team won the match by 100 runs.

India’s top batting who failed to perform included the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant.

But the interesting part about this game was, that this time, it was Reece Topley who took 6 wickets, the same as what esprit Burmah from India took in the last game.
