Serie A – News, Line-Ups and Predictions

Matchday 19 of Serie A kicks off with two matches of teams that fight at the top of the table and another two that will fight not to be relegated. Today three games were to be played, but Udinese-Salernitana was suspended for positive cases of Coronavirus.

Serie A: Genoa – Atalanta (1:15 AM)

Genoa will host Atalanta at the Luigi Ferraris stadium for matchday 19 of Serie A. The home team will be looking to get out of the relegation zone and it will not be easy at all.

The brand-new coach, Andriy Shevchenko, has yet to claim a victory and his team is 15 games from the last time they scored three points. For today he will not be able to count on two players who stand out: Nicoló Rovella and Felipe Caicedo.

Atalanta lives a totally different reality. With 6 victories in a row, he was within range of the leader Inter. Although the last date fell to Rome at home and by a landslide.

There are 6 points that separate Atalanta from first place and, despite the bad start, their goal is still to win. It is the only jump left for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team.

The coach has the entire team available to visit Genoa, except the German Robin Gosens due to injury.

Genoa: Sirigu; Vanheusden, Vasquez, Criscito; Ghioglione, Sturaro, Badelj, Hernani, Cambiaso; Pandev, Destro.

Atalanta: Musso; Toloi, Demiral, Palomino; Maehle, De Roon, Freuler, Zappacosta; Pasalic, Malinovskyi; Zapata.

Genoa has not won for 15 days and his only victory was against Cagliari, one of the two teams that are below him. Atalanta is not only a team that smells blood when attacking, but it is also the second with the most goals in this Serie A. Their share is low because they have more than 70% chances of winning the match.

Juventus – Cagliari (1:15 AM)

Juventus and Cagliari will meet in Turin for matchday 19 of Serie A. The hosts will have the chance to easily get the three points and be, even for one day, ahead of Fiorentina and Roma in the standings.

Paulo Dybala, Giorgio Chiellini and Luca Pellegrini are between cotton wool and surely, they will not see minutes in this match. Federico Chiesa, Danilo and Aaron Ramsey are totally out for a few months.

Massimiliano Allegri needs to regain the confidence of the team and nothing better than to beat one of the worst in Serie A. On the last date he beat the other at the bottom of the table, Bologna.

Cagliari is going through a deep crisis: two of its stars, Diego Godín and Martín Cáceres, have been disengaged from the team due to differences with the Sporting Director. Their numbers in Serie A have been bad, but their signings were unviable from the economic point of view.

Diego Godín, captain of the Uruguay National Team, arrived in his country to vacation and confirmed that he will leave the club:

“I’m gonna leave Cagliari in January. It’s over after many problems here. I’m looking for a new solution and in 10 days I’ll be able to talk about my new club”.

The team is among the last three in Serie A and has only won one miraculous match against Sampdoria. It seems that he will also shed the two best players on the team: Joao Pedro and Nahitan Nández.

Juventus: Szczesny; Square, De Ligt, Bonucci, Alex Sandro; McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Rabiot, Bernardeschi; Morata, Kean.

Cagliari: Cragno; Bellanova, Ceppitelli, Carboni, Lykogiannis; Zappa, Deiola, Grassi, Dalbert; Pavoletti, Joao Pedro.

It would be a miracle if Juventus did not win. The Turin team has a 92% chance of doing so and that is why Genoa’s share is very high. Those from Sardinia are going through a crisis worthy of a team that within a year will be competing in Serie B.
