Date:

SHARE POST

The first 19 weeks of the Premier League were played and, although many owe games, at PlayOn99 News we put together the ideal team for the first round. Know who it is.

David De Gea – Manchester United

The Manchester United goalkeeper excelled in this first round and has saved his team from catastrophic defeats. David De Gea left the 2020/21 Premier League behind where he had many mistakes and returned to the level that positioned him as a world top. He conceded 25 goals, but saves more than 70% of what they shoot and saved two penalties.

Other notable goalkeepers: Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), José Sá (Wolverhampton), Robert Sánchez (Brighton) and Emiliano Martínez (Aston Villa).

Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool

Right back by position and off-road by definition. Trent Alexander-Arnold was not only the best of this first wheel, but we could be talking about the best in the world. In these six months of the Premier League, he scored 2 goals and ¡8! assists.

Other notable right-backs: Valentino Livramento (Southampton), Reece James (Chelsea) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (Arsenal).

Rúben Dias – Manchester City

The Portuguese is the fundamental beginning of the leading team of this Premier League. Rúben Dias became a pillar for Pep Guardiola and is the axis of which Manchester City is managed. He not only contributes a lot in the game, but he scores goals, he is a defensive wall and he does very well in the jump.

Other notable central defenders: Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa) and Ben White (Arsenal).

Virgil van Dijk – Liverpool

The Dutchman was absent due to injury on some occasions, but whenever he was there, showed the best side of Liverpool. If Virgil van Dijk is there, Jurgen Klopp’s team plays what he knows and suffocates the rivals more sharply.

Other notable central defenders: Mohammed Salisu (Southampton) and Kristoffer Ajer (Brentford).

Joao Cancelo – Manchester City

The Portuguese was a right back, but Pep Guardiola has fitted him into a changed profile and it paid off. Joao Cancelo positioned himself as a world top in this Premier League and practically stands as a midfielder.

Other notable left-backs: Marc Cucurella (Brighton), Matt Targett (Aston Villa) and Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace).

Declan Rice – West Ham

Key in defense and distribution, the pivot of the Hammers and the England national team established itself in the Premier League. Declan Rice is responsible for the great moment that West Ham is experiencing, he also contributes in attack and began to sound to reinforce large teams.

Other notable defensive pivots: Rodri (Manchester City), Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Tottenham) and Wilfried Ndidi (Leicester).

Connor Gallagher – Crystal Palace

The midfielder on loan from Chelsea has left everyone surprised with the level he had in these six months. Connor Gallagher scored 6 goals and 3 assists in the Premier League and at PlayOn99 News we tell you who he is.

Other notable midfielders: Jorginho (Chelsea), Ilkay Gundogan and Martin Odegaard (Arsenal).

Bernardo Silva – Manchester City

We are clear that his classification is a midfielder, but Bernardo Silva has occupied the playing field like no one else in this Premier League. He pulled the strings in attack, made plays and reached the opponent’s area with ease. In Manchester City he has fulfilled all facets of football and Pep Guardiola praised him as the best player of the tournament.

Other notable midfielders: Yuri Tielemans (Leicester) and James Maddison (Leicester).

Mohammed Salah – Liverpool

The Egyptian is at a superlative level and commands the two important lists in the Premier League: top scorer (15) and top assist (9). Mo Salah is probably the most decisive player in the world.

Other notable forwards: Emmanuel Dennis (Watford), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) and Jarred Bowen (West Ham).

Raphinha – Leeds United

The 25-year-old Brazilian was a headache for every team he faced. Raphinha was able to stand out in Leeds last season and in this Premier League he is the only pearl of a team that has a really bad time.

Other notable forwards: Lucas Moura (Tottenham), Emile Smith-Rowe (Arsenal) and Leandro Trossard (Brighton).

Diogo Jota – Liverpool

The fourth and last Portuguese on this list thanked Jurgen Klopp on the basis of goals: 10 in this Premier League. Diogo Jota began to be a starter in Liverpool and did not touch the substitute bench again due to his highly competitive level and how he coupled with Salah and Mané.

Other notable center-forwards: Jamie Vardy (Leicester), Armando Broja (Southampton), Michael Antonio (West Ham).
