Ligue 1 – Messi wants to leave PSG | Playon99 News

PSG was eliminated from the Champions League,  their fans booed the team and now it looks like they may lose Lionel Messi. The Argentine is not happy with anything and could return to Barcelona if he settles his numbers.

PSG’s elimination from the Champions League brought storms to Paris and it seems that not only could it affect them sportingly, but they could lose one of their top stars.

After a fateful defeat against Real Madrid and the booing at the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1, Lionel Messi is reportedly thinking about leaving PSG.

The truth is that the season was a resounding failure for a Dream Team that was set to win the Champions League and lost -against a great rival- in the most unusual way.

Messi was not spared and the PSG ultras unanimously booed him on the last day against Girondins de Bordeaux, something that had never happened to him in his career.

Despite having a good second half of the season in his role as a playmaker with 11 assists, his performances do not seem to be highly valued either at his own club or by the French press.

For this reason, Messi would be thinking of returning to Barcelona, the club he left in July when he could not find a solution to his contract renewal.

The information was released by Gerard Romero, journalist and follower of the culé news on his Twitch channel “Jijantes FC”.

Lionel’s father and representative, Jorge Messi, has already contacted Barcelona’s board of directors to analyze the situation, although the numbers for the club are still very bad.

Barcelona’s accounts are in the red

It is well known that Barcelona had economic problems and that this caused the departure of the previous board led by Josep Bartomeu, for which they had to resign, precisely, to have Lionel Messi available.

The Argentinean and Barcelona’s top idol left the club because he did not fit in the salary limits to have his new contract, but now it seems that he wants to return, although the Spanish club is not up to date to make such a move.

La Liga released the record with the numbers of each club: Barcelona is the only team in the tournament that has a negative balance.

Barcelona has a balance between the previous and the current season of -144 million euros, so it will have to continue reducing the wage bill of the squad if it wants to sign Lionel Messi again.
