Leeds is already thinking of replacing Bielsa if the Argentine does not renew in June. The directors plan to take an American to the Premier League, but they also have other coaches in the pipeline.
By Facundo Di Bona (@facudibona).
The season of ups and downs that Leeds United is experiencing fails to convince the fans and the managers hope to stay far from the relegation zone in the Premier League.
Marcelo Bielsa’s project is firm, but his contract ends in the summer and there is already a plan in case he does not renew.
The team hopes to convince the Argentine coach to stay one more season with the team, but if that is not the case, they already have three coaches on the list, in which the American Jesse Marsch stands out.
? Three candidates in frame to replace Marcelo Bielsa ?? as Leeds United manager if he leaves this summer:
– Jesse Marsch ??
– Ernesto Valverde ??
– Carlos Corberán ??

According to information from the Daily Telegraph, Leeds would be interested in Marsch after his time at RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig, in addition to the fact that he does not have a contract at the moment, which would make it easy for him to arrive for the following season.
The American coach is considered one of the best bets in Europe, but his last experience with Leipzig in the Bundesliga went from bad to dismal and he was short-lived.

Along with Marsch, on the list are Ernesto Valverde, who has not returned to a bench since his time at Barcelona in 2020, and Carlos Corberan, who was already part of Bielsa’s staff when the team reached the Premier League.
The team is currently in fifteenth place, but is only six points above the relegation zone.
The last day against Everton was a real disappointment against a direct rival, although the weight that the Argentine coach has on the Leeds bench makes him hold on over time despite the results.
No getting away from it being a difficult and challenging season for Leeds and Bielsa.
Injuries have crippled us and the squad has looked stretched.
No other manager though could get more from these players.
And I maintain we still have more than enough about us to stay up.

Bielsa arrived in Leeds and it took him a season to impose his style, but that first year he led a team that was fighting not to descend to the third category to enter the Playoff for the Premier League.
In his second year, he claimed the Championship title early and managed to seal promotion to the top flight after a 16-year absence for Leeds.

During his first year in the Premier League, the coach incorporated little and managed to maintain the category and there was even speculation about a possible qualification for Europe.
This season things have not gone as the fans wanted and, together with Bielsa’s explosive personality, speculation began that he will not renew with Leeds United.
