Basketball news: LeBron James opened up to the Los Angeles Times and talked about the pressure of being the GOAT in the Los Angeles Lakers. A team full of problems, but with a born leader – Playon99 News
LeBron James turned 37 a couple of weeks ago and there are many people who doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers star can carry the heavy burden of pulling his team almost single-handedly at that age.
With Anthony Davis injured and Russell Westbrook, they are helping him little so far in the regular season and his team leaves much to be desired heading into the Playoffs.

In the early hours of yesterday, Los Angeles fell to the Denver Nuggets 133-96 with 25 points from the point guard.
For LeBron James, though, that’s not a problem: He’s had this role since his first year in the NBA and nothing has changed since then.
LeBron James spoke of that pressure that falls on his shoulders in a conversation with Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times:
“I don’t get caught up in that supposed pressure and heavy loads and things like that. That’s how I’ve been my entire career, ever since I was an 18-year-old kid and took over a franchise. I’ve been used to it for 20 years”.

James is clear about the only thing that motivates him and it is not pressured or carrying a supposed load, but winning.
In the interview, the GOAT of the National Basketball Association acknowledged that things are not going as expected with the Lakers, but he is on the verge of getting better:
“No matter what I’ve been doing this season so far, we haven’t really had as many wins as I’d like. So I keep seeing ways that I can be better as well”.
With retirement getting closer, LeBron is averaging 29 points per game, almost no lower than 30 in recent months and even had the pleasure of scoring 43 units on the first day of 2022.
Despite still being in force and not having a team that accompanies him like the big stars in other franchises, the historic player is still motivated to improve day by day:
“I’m looking at ways of what I can do both on offense and defense from a leadership standpoint to help this team get through the load a little bit more”.
