IPL 2022: Lots of gratitude, S Sreesanth shares a heartfelt post after being shortlisted for IPL 2022 mega auction

Sreesanth is making a comeback in the glorious IPL 2022 series this year!! Yes, you heard it right. Two-time World Cup winner S Sreesanth posted a heartfelt message on twitter after being picked among the players of the IPL 2022 mega-auction scheduled to be conducted in the middle of this month, which will be the most likely happening on 12th or 13th February.

Starting at the base price of 50 Laks the speedster has made it to the IPL auction list, however, last year the speedster made an attempt, trying his best at the auction but had no luck to make it to the final list. The 38-year-old would like to return to the extraordinary league after last playing in IPL 2013, which was banned after being found guilty of spot-fixing along with two other teammates from Royal Challengers Benglore Ajit Chadila and Ankeet Chavan.

Sreesanth has made it to the list of auctions and thanking everyone there has sought prayers and best wishes.

In domestic competitions, the player was most recently seen in action for Kerala in last year’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and since he has not played any domestic competition, one would be surprised if a franchise tries to take him into their rooster. A total of 590 players have made it to the final list of players who will go under the hammer. 48 players have made it to the IPL final list at the highest base price of Rs 2 crore, while twenty players have listed with 1.5 crore. Sreesanth has a long history with controversies in the IPL. Punjab Kings was the first place in IPL Sreesanth played. Then after, Harbhajan Singh slapping Sreeesanth controversy took place. After this Sreesanth got caught in the spot-fixing case. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) then banned him from all forms of cricket. Sreesanth returned to domestic cricket after a seven-year ban and now wants to return to the IPL. Now it totally depends on the 10 franchises that whether they will take a call on Sreesanth or not. After being included in the list of final players at the mega auction, Sreesanth took out his happiness expressing his gratitude on the social media. The right-arm pacer last played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2013.
