BCCI released the list of highest bidder cricketers this year and the list of all participating teams include Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and CVC Capital. According to reports, this event can be held in Bangalore on February 12 and 13. Out of 590 players, 370 Indian players and 220 foreign players will come up for auction. 10 IPL franchises retained 33 players.

Let’s take a look at the Indian players who have the highest base price:
- R Ashwin – Rs 2 crore
Recently, many senior and veteran players have come forward in praise and a little criticism of the player. Shane Warne heaped praises saying that Ravichandran Ashwin is getting better with every passing day and is expected to take 1000 Test wickets in his career.
- Shikhar Dhawan – Rs 2 crore
The player has been at his best and has scored over 2000 runs in the last 4 IPL editions but has been out of form recently and is probably going to retire right after the IPL.
- Shreyas Iyer – Rs 2 crore
Shreyas Iyer is an aggressive top-order batsman capable of classical shots. Iyer made headlines when Delhi Daredevils bought him for Rs 2.6 crore in the 2015 IPL auction
- Mohammed Shami – Rs 2 crore
Shami hails from Uttar Pradesh and plays first-class cricket for Bengal from where he got his eye. He is India’s leading fast bowler in the 2015 World Cup in Australia. His success can be attributed to his accuracy, speed and mainly his skill in moving the ball – both new and old.
- Devdutt Padikkal – Rs 2 crore
- Suresh Raina – Rs 2 crore
Raina has been intrinsic to CSK’s planning since its inception. He has been their all-time leading run-getter. While Raina is also in the final stages of his professional career, it is too early to move on from any of his quality.
- Rohit Uthappa – Rs 2 crore
Uthappa may be at the end of his career but he surprised everyone last season when he played two crucial knocks in the playoffs against Delhi Capitals and the final vs Kolkata Knight Riders that helped CSK win the title
- Krunal Pandya – 2 Crores
- Harshal Patel – Rs. 2 crore
Harshal Patel was the highest wicket-taker of IPL 2021. He is one of the leading names in this first round of capped players. He is a right arm fast bowler.
- Dinesh Karthik – Rs. 2 crore
Dinesh Karthik is one of the most experienced wicketkeeper-batsmen. He made his IPL debut in 2008 and is currently playing for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Similarly the other seven remaining players who stood out for the base price of 2 crores are are Ishan Kishan, Deepak Chahar, Ambati Rayudu, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav.
