IPL 2022 auction date is approaching. If there is a mega auction, then all eyes are on all the teams. This time two new teams have made the battle more fun. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, the new team that has joined the IPL this time, has broken all the sponsorship records in the history of IPL. The deal worth more than 3 billion has been spent just to be on the front side of the jersey and has made the two teams the first in signing such a big offer. With 750 million Lucknow Super Giants has signed a deal with My11Circle to be on the front jersey. Some of the main aspects are as follows:
- Mumbai Indians have announced a deal with Slice Super Cards for the front jersey. This deal can be from 90 to 100 crores for 3 years. Slice is a Bajaj owned fintech startup that allows you to get cashback every time you swipe your credit card. Bajaj founded Slice in 2016 by CEO Rajan Bajaj. It works like a credit card only but looking at the low income and bad credit history the company aims at close to 200 million Indians to claim the benefits from its service. The card offered by the company starts from a limit range of INR 2000 which is the lowest credit limit seen on any card available in the market of India.
- CSK has signed a deal of more than 1 billion with TVS Eurogrip for 3 years. TVS group is into premium tire manufacturing including industry leading zero-degree steel belt radial tyres. The company has a portfolio of 19 premium tires under TVS Eurogrip.
- The sponsorship deal of Lucknow Super Giants with My11Circle is touted to be the third biggest deal ever in the history of IPL. So far, Dream11 has dominated in terms of IPL sponsorship. But now My11Circle has also joined this race. My11Circle will continue as the sponsor of the Lucknow Super Giants team in the IPL. RP-Sanjeev Goenka Group recently announced the name of the Lucknow team. Lucknow Super Giants has a deal of more than 250 million with My11Circle for three years.
Others IPL teams such as RCB will have Muthoot Fincorp’s as their title partner at a value of over Rs 220 million on the other hand Delhi Capitals will go with JSW Paints whereas KKR is in deal with MPL.
