India’s Youngster Prithvi Shaw Break Silence on Not Getting Chance To Play For India



Dashing right-handed opener batter Prithvi Shaw expressed his disappointment as he is not included in the squad against the South Africa ODI series.

Prithvi Shaw made his last appearance for team India in One Day Internationals in July 2021 against Srilanka and scored 49 runs.

Shaw make his mark at age of just 14 when he smashed 546 runs off 330 deliveries in Harris shield. Later he break master blaster Sachin Tendulkar‘s record and became the youngest player to score a century on Duleep Trophy debut.

Shaw captained India in the Under19 World Cup 2018 and team India went on the win the tournament. In IPL he is scoring consistently with a strike rate of almost 150.

In list, A matches Prithvi’s figures are even better and his scores run at an average of 56.02. In a recent match against Newzealand A team, he scored fiery 77 runs from just 48 deliveries.

In absence of first-term players Shaw was expecting the call for the ODI series against South Africa, in an Interview with Mid-Day he revealed his feelings on omission from the team and said: ” I am scoring runs consistently and putting a lot of effort but not getting a chance so I am disappointed”.

“When selectors feel I am ready they will pick me and whatever opportunity I get weather it’s in the national team or A team I will definitely give my best and will keep my fitness level up” added Prithvi Shaw.
