India tour of West Indies to begin on July 22

The Indian cricket team is having a very busy schedule this year. From June onwards the team is going to get occupied in several matches in the UK, Trinidad including one home series. But we’ll start here with the match that is going to take place in the island country of Trinidad. This match in Trinidad will be starting on July 22nd and will be athree match (white ball) comprising of three internationals (ODI), and five Twenty20Is which will take on from July 29th onwards. As per reports from Cricbuzz, these matches in Trinidad which will be held at Queens Park Oval stadium, St. Kitts and the BSL (Brian Charles Lara) Stadium which is newly built.

Based on the information presented on the site of Cricbuzz, the schedule of these matches will be as follows:

  • The three ODI matches will be held on July 22nd, 24th and 27th
  • The first T20I match will start from July 29th thereafter, the upcoming two T20I matches will be conducted on Aug 1st and 2nd and will be held at the Nevis and Warner Park Stadium in St. Kitts.
  • Once the three T20I matches will be over, the Indian team will move towards Fort Lauderdale in Florida where the last T20I matches will be held on Aug. 6th and 7th.

So, this was all about the series held in the island country of Trinidad but before the only there is already a packed schedule involved for the Indian team. Don’t worry, we’ll tell you how?

  • Following from June 9th itself, the Indian team will be engaged in a five-match home turf series against South Africa which will last on June 19th.
  • Then from June 26th and 28th, the Indian team is slated to have two ODI’s against Ireland in Dublin.
  • Then after, the Indian team will be having engagements with the England team which will be a few warm up matches including 3 T20I’s and one day International.

  • Then the from July 22nd its already mentioned above the matches that will take place in Trinidad up till 2nd of August.

All these matches those are taking place are due to improvement in COVID cases across the world and where in countries like UK and there are no as such strict quarantine measure or hard Bio- bubble quarantine processes. According to the CWI (Cricket West Indies)

“The India series is still about three months away but medical protocols will have to be adhered to as needed,”
