India vs. South Africa 4th T20I just concluded which the Indian side won it by 82 runs. Avesh Khan (4/ 18) Dinesh Karthik (55 off 27) & Hardik Pandya’s (46 off 31) were star players of the match. Now how did India managed to do so, let have a quick recap on to the match highlights.

It was the beautiful day at Rajkot, where the 4th T20I match between India Vs. South Africa was to be held in the beautiful stadium of Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The toss as usual was won by the south African skipper Temba Bavuma, but he decided to chase rather getting chased.

Welcoming the gesture from the Temba, the Indian side sent its two openers in the form of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan. From the proteas it was Jansen who ready to deliver his first ball of the innings. In the second over, India experienced its first wicket in the form of Ruturaj Gaikwad (5 off 7). The match further then saw coming Shreyas Iyer who also followed the footsteps of Gaikwad getting out via lbw and scoring just 4 off 2 deliveries. Heading towards pavilion and shaking his head, Iyer seemed disappointed while walking back.

It was only Hardik Pandya (46 off 31) and Dinesh Karthik (55 off 27) who played their innings like warriors and led the team to a decent score total of 169 with loss of 6 wickets.

It was not like the target was grand and impossible to achieve for the proteas and which they tried as well but how they didn’t been able to achieve, let’s have a look,

As openers, the SA captain Temba Bavuma and Quinton De Kock came out to play. Since beginning, the Indian seamers seemed targeting the SA player especially the skipper Bavuma, who in multiple instances was seen struggling to bat against Bhuveneshwar Kumar’s fantastic line and length whereas along with Avesh Khan’s half pitch deliveries. Twice it was seen, Bavuma getting hit either on the helmet or the wrist and finally called-off getting retired hurt.

Overall, there is nothing to talk about the South African team because none of their player looked focussed and were seen leaving towards the pavilion quite quickly. The epic one was the run-out of SA star batter Quinton De Kock (14 off 13) who after placing the ball tried to take a run but lack of coordination led him to get out. Then after following the footsteps was Dwaine Pretorius getting for duck off 6 deliveries.

The Indian bowling side seemed at its best especially from Avesh Khan who took 4 wickets giving just 18 runs on the other hand Bhuveneshwar Kumar’s perfect line & length kept troubling the proteas on a regular basis.

The match was finally won by Team India by 82 runs and getting to finals. India vs. South Africa, 5T20I match which is the last & the final one, will be held M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Chennai, TN, tomorrow at 7:00 IST. (June 19th, 7:00 PM IST)
