Pakistan Cricketer Danish Kaneria

The former cricketer of Pakistan and currently the commentator and YouTube, Danish Kaneria has shared something very important about the match that recently was held at “The Village” Malahide Cricket ground stadium, Dublin which especially emphasized on the topic of the young cricketer, Umran Malik.

Through his YouTube channel, Kaneria acknowledged the youngster from Jammu has some serious pace in him but still needs to improve on his line and length.  He said,

“Umran Malik bowls very fast, but he has a long way to go as he is quite wayward. He will improve as he plays more matches. It is not easy to handle the pressure of playing international cricket”

Danish asserted on the topic that the gifted player from Jammu will be getting proper guidance from India’s coaching team and will improve with time.

He further added by stating,

“Playing for an IPL Franchise is different, but things are completely different in international cricket as there are a lot of eyeballs on you”

To remind all, Umran Malik is the young lad who was first recognized during the IPL for his fast pace with clocking speed up to 155 plus and with perfect line and length. And later due to his hidden talent and qualities, he grabbed his first maiden call against Ireland in two-match T20I series. In both the matches, however, the speedster did not manage to take wickets but was praised for his economical innings specially the second match.

In the last over of the Ind vs IRE second T20I match, which indeed was a nail biting one, the Irish team needed 17 or 18 runs to win the match, but keeping faith on the young talent, Umran Malik, Hardik led him to ball which eventually proved to be successful.

And the most interesting part of this match was that Umran was given a special gift by Hardik Pandya, and this gift was to lift up the trophy after winning the series. The tradition of letting the trophy lifted up by the newest player was introduced by the former captain Rohit Sharma but following the good gesture, Hardik continued his legacy by offering the opportunity to Umran.

Now the next battle the team India is going to face will be England. The clash against England will be rescheduled fifth test match from last year which was abandoned due to COVID issues.

The England vs India fifth test match details;

  • Venue – Edgbaston – Birmingham
  • Live Telecast and Streaming – Sky Sports and Sky Go App
  • Date– July 1st, 2022 – July 5th, 2022
  • Time – 3:30 PM (IST) and 10:30 AM (local Time)
