James Harden will not be in the All-Star Game, which will be played this Sunday, February 20, at the Rocket Mortgage Field House in Cleveland.

The new Philadelphia 76ers point guard has decided to decline his presence to recover from the hamstring problem that prevented him from playing the last games with the Brooklyn Nets before being transferred before the market closed last Thursday, February 10.

The Beard was one of the 14 substitutes chosen by the coaches of the 30 NBA franchises and at 32 years old he begins to have physical problems that leave him off the court.

In the All-Star Game Draft, he was selected by LeBron James in the last position for the reserves and they even made fun of his physical condition.

Kevin Durant, captain and at that time teammate in the Nets, dispensed with Harden up to six times and chose Rudy Gobert last.

Harden did not have a good time in Brooklyn before his transfer: fans and the media pointed him out among the problems of the franchise that had three historical players like Kyrie Irving, Durant and James himself.

In his last game he had only 4 points in 38 minutes and, although he had 7 rebounds and 12 assists, it was one of the worst productions possible.

Since that Feb. 3 game against the Sacramento Kings, Harden has missed five games. Until what everyone expected was confirmed: Brooklyn and Philadelphia 76ers traded Ben Simmons for The Beard.

In the midst of the controversy over his entry last and the question everyone is asking – why didn’t they choose an MVP? – James Harden decided to walk away himself.

His replacement: a local

Adam Silver, the commissioner of the National Basketball Association, had to choose Harden’s replacement in the All-Star Game and the decision was quick.

Jarrett Allen, player of Cleveland, will have his debut in a game of this magnitude in his fifth season in the NBA.

His role in the Ohio franchise is sublime as part of the Tall Ball alongside rookie Evan Mobley and he’s averaging 16.2 points and 11.1 rebounds, both career highs.

The Californian came to the Cavs from Brooklyn as part of the operation that brought Harden himself to the Nets from the Houston Rockets.
