Here we come with some good news. The most awaited Big Bash league, and its 12th season has been declared to begin from the end of this year. In total, eight teams will be part of this tournament, which includes, Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Melbourne Renegades, Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Stars, Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Thunders, and Sydney Sixers.
The Big Bash League in its curtain raiser match will see the Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars clashing against each other, starting from 13th December, and will see its finals just 2 months after in February.
According to Cricket Australia, BBL during its matches for approximately 2 months, will prioritize the return of spectators to the stadiums which got disrupted in recent years due to COVID.
For all matches to conclude in a smooth way, overall 17 venues have been decided and would also include the likes of Cazalys Stadium in Cairns, Lavington Sports Ground in Albury, and North Sydney Oval stadiums.

On the occasion of announcing the BBL schedule, the general manager of Cricket Australia of BIg bash League said,
“The 12th season is setting up to have everything we love about the Big Bash – great players, full stadiums of home fans, and the best nights of entertainment anywhere this summer,”
Even Cricket Australia commented on the same saying,
“This schedule provides the platform for that, with a mix of world-class stadiums and regional venues, opportunities for player participation, and all the marquee games that our fans love,”
The Big Bash League is going to be even better because players like Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, Marcus Stonis, and Mitch Marsh are most probably going to be part of the 12th edition of the Big Bash League, Reason being, the exit of South African team from the ODI series against Australia in January.
