RB Leipzig and Atalanta played out a draw in a match full of attacking play. Despite the 1-1 scoreline, there was plenty to see in the tie. And everything was left open for the return leg in Bergamo.

The game started with an individual goal by Muriel in the 17th minute, but Leipzig reacted with a shot against the post by André Silva that could not break the deadlock before the break.

The second half was also a game of great offensive play with two identical schemes with a 3-4-3 in both squads. Almost on the hour mark, Nkunku caused a penalty in front of Demiral and the referee charged. But Silva himself took charge and a masterful save by Juan Musso prevented the goal. The goalkeeper was one of the best in the match and in the penalty save he also had a double save. Because the rejection of the penalty was also saved by the Atalanta goalkeeper.

The players of the Italian team celebrated. But in the next move it was Angeliño who crossed and Zappacosta scored the equalizer.

Far from getting discouraged, Atalanta continued to insist on winning. Koopmeiners even had a shot that hit the post. From there to the end, there were chances for both teams in a beautiful game that left the tie wide open.

West Ham were held to a goalless draw by Lyon

West Ham and Lyon drew 1-1 in a match that could be considered a success for the home side. They played the entire second half with a player down after Cresswell was sent off.

Lyon came away with 16 out of 18 points in the Group Stage. It eliminated Porto in the Round of 16. And it is the top-scoring team in the Europa League. But they could not beat West Ham.

The English were inferior in most of the match. And they suffered the expulsion of Creswell a minute before halftime. But curiously, they took the lead in the 52nd minute.

A poor clearance by Jerome Boateng fell at the feet of Bowen. And the West Ham striker struck for the 1-0 lead and the surprise.

Just 15 minutes later, though, Thiago Mendes broke into the box and whipped in a cross on the run. There was a rebound in front of goal and Ndombele found the ball for the equalizer.

A goal that left the series open and favored West Ham. The English managed to contain a result that they can at least reverse in France.
