The Mavs have Doncic and don’t sweat in the win over the Pelicans. The Slovenian once again had a brutal record, remains firmly on track for MVP and everyone is hoping he can reverse bad fortune in Playoffs – Playon99 News

Luka Doncic added the brutality of 49 points with 7 three-pointers out of 14 attempts, 15 rebounds and 8 assists in the 125-118 win of Dallas Mavericks against New Orleans Pelicans.

The Slovenian signed his fourth career game with at least 45 points, tying Mark Aguirre with 45-point games in Maverick’s history.

Dallas, which is on a roll, picked up its sixth win in seven games thanks to the scoring prowess of the phenom Luka and was able to stretch its lead over the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves for fifth in the Western Conference.

In those seven games, Doncic has signed the streak of 49, 21, 45 in the only one they lost, 51, 33, 18 and 33 points in each of them, which is an average of 35.7 points per night.

In addition, Luka Doncic broke his NBA scoring record last Thursday with 51 points on 17-of-26 shooting and 7-of-14 three-pointers, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the Dallas Mavericks’ win over the New Orleans Clippers.

Luka Doncic has averaged this season of 27 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists, numbers that bring him close to a triple-double on average per game.

A complete madness that added this morning another double-double of perhaps the best player in the National Basketball Association.

Doncic’s brutal first quarter, in which he scored 19 points and launched the Mavericks to an overwhelming 45-27 partial was decisive for the final result of the game.

Jalen Brunson (23 points), Maxi Kleber (20 points) and Dorian Finney-Smith (14 points) were the best squires of Doncic against the Pelicans.

For the New Orleans Pelicans, CJ McCollum shined with 38 points. He was accompanied by Jaxson Hayes (18 points), Jonas Valanciunas (16 points and 18 rebounds) and Brandon Ingram (12 points and 8 rebounds), who all scored double digits.

Dallas Mavericks had such an advantage in the beginning that they let the Pelicans stretch the agony of the Pelicans, winners of the second quarter by 31-26.

For the third quarter, a few minutes of Luka were enough to get back to a partial with more than ten points of advantage -34 to 23- and for the last quarter they let the clock run with such security that they ended with a 37-20 partial in favor of New Orleans.

Doncic’s team did not take any scare and finished the game with a resounding 125-118 to keep the streak and face a tough schedule that in the next four games will present them with Utah Jazz, third in their Conference, Golden State Warriors visiting, Los Angeles Lakers and again the Warriors, but at home.
