Chelsea – A player got something special tattooed

Mason Mount got a tattoo of the Champions League trophy that Chelsea won last season. In the drawing you can see the glass of the title and a dragon that surrounds it as if it were guarding such a precious treasure.

The Blues player adds another tattoo to those he already had: numbers with dates of his own references to his life and a silhouette that draws New Zealand, the country where his parents were born. Now he will carry in his skin the title he won with the club he loves and where he has been since 2005. With which he won the Champions League giving the key assistance for the winning goal against Manchester City and with which he became the player number 19 on the Ballon d’Or list.

Sense of belonging: there is another player on the team with a Champions tattoo

Mount isn’t the only one at Chelsea to honor the top continental title. Reece James, Mason’s teammate since the year they entered the club’s training categories together, portrayed the Champions League trophy on the calf of his right leg after hanging the medal.

James accompanied the trophy tattoo with the words “Dream Believe Achieve across the top. Behind the cup you can see the Stamford Bridge stadium and below the date they won the title against Manchester City: May 29, 2021. The young versatile Chelsea had this projected years ago and said:

“I always said one day I would win the Champions League, and when I did, would get the tattoo of the trophy on my leg”
