The Champions League Round of 16 is about to be decided and PlayOn99 News has all you need to know about the matches of the day. Liverpool, Inter, Bayern Munich, and RB Salzburg will be the protagonists of the day.

By Facundo Di Bona (@facudibona).

Bayern Munich – RB Salzburg (1:30 AM)

In Germany, there will be an open duel because the first leg in Austria between Bayern Munich and RB Salzburg was tied at one thanks to Kingsley Coman’s goal in the 90th minute.

Had it not been for that goal, we could say that Bayern would have a very difficult match against Red Bull, but the key is still wide open and anything could happen.

Bayern Munich will be much more cautious than in the first match and will have a back four.

The good news for Bayern Munich came yesterday when Julian Nagelsmann confirmed that Manuel Neuer will be back in action against Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League.

On the Red Bull Salzburg side, the scorer from the first leg – Chukwubuike Adamu – will start in place of the injured Noah Okaford, a change identical to the one that happened in the first leg of this Champions League tie.

Line-Ups

Bayern Munich: Neuer; Pavard; Pavard, Sule, Upamecano, Hernandez; Kimmich, Musiala; Gnabry, Muller, Sané; Lewandowski.

Red Bull Salzburg: Kohn; Kristensen, Piatkowski, Wober, Ulmer; Capaldo, Camara, Seiwald; Aaronson; Adeyemi, Adamu.

Predictions

It is obvious that the odds will be in favor of Bayern Munich (1.17), but they do not at all reflect what happened in the first leg: a draw pays 8.00 and a Red Bull Salzburg victory -something that is really very difficult- pays 15.00.

Among the alternatives are +0.5 goals for Red Bull Salzburg (1.67), both teams will score (1.74) and +2.5 corners for Red Bull Salzburg (2.5).

Liverpool – Inter Milan (1:30 AM)

Inter Milan will have to visit Liverpool at Anfield Road with the tough task of reversing the 0-2 suffered at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

The Italians are without any absentees and are coming off a 5-0 win over Salernitana, but lost the Serie A lead – albeit with a game in hand – to arch-rivals Milan.

Another good news for Inter Milan is that their striker, Lautaro Martinez, scored a hat-trick in the last Serie A match, which gives hope for a comeback in the Champions League.

As for Liverpool, the team -which was one of the best in the world- improved in this 2022 and is fighting against Manchester City in the Premier League, a tournament where they are at the bottom of the table and can get up to three points closer.

Liverpool has just beaten West Ham by the minimum in a tough Premier League match, but where they dominated and even showed some facets they are not used to.

For the moment, Jurgen Klopp did not confirm if Joel Matip -key central defender- can return from injury and his place would still be taken by Ibrahima Konaté.

Line-Ups

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konaté, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Salah, Mané, Diaz.

Inter Milan: Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Vidal, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Martinez.

Predictions

The odds are clear in terms of Liverpool’s advantage (1.58), draw (4.35), and Inter Milan win (5.50), but they do not present so much difference.

Among the options appear +2.5 goals in total that pay a good odd of 1.56, while a Liverpool victory at halftime has odds of 2.04.

In addition, a card alternative for Arturo Vidal (3.20), Milan Skriniar (4.00), Ivan Perisic (5.50), and Alessandro Bastoni (4.00) are good alternatives to play a special bet.
