Manchester United – Atlético Madrid (1:30 AM)

The highlight of the day and the week in the Champions League will take place at Old Trafford when Manchester United hosts Atlético Madrid.

The first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano ended 1-1 thanks to Anthony Elanga’s late equalizer for the Red Devils, while the Colchoneros’ goal came from Joao Felix.

The current situation of each team is quite uncertain: Manchester United is not convincing in the game and defensively and drags the hard defeat in the Manchester derby against the Citizens by 4-1, but in the last Premier League matchday they won 3-2 against Tottenham with a brilliant hat-trick by Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese once again proved that Ralf Rangnick is wrong to give false ear shots to such an experienced player who even became the top scorer in the history of soccer and today, he will have the chance to score against one of his favorite rivals during his time at Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid is the current champion of Spain, but had a disastrous season, but in the last matches of La Liga they accumulated four consecutive victories -one against the revelation, Betis- and got back into Champions League places.

Diego Simeone’s team will be without Yannick Ferreira Carrasco due to suspension -something that also happened in the first leg- and Ángel Correa will surely be on the bench because he is still recovering from an injury.

As for Manchester United, there are two doubts: whether Scott McTominay or Matic will play in midfield and whether Elanga will replace Marcus Rashford up front.

The most striking thing in the preview was an episode when Atlético Madrid had to recognize the pitch: Simeone’s assistants forgot the tactical board in the dressing room and now they fear that someone from Manchester United has seen it and knows what they will do during the match.

Manchester United: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles; McTominay, Fred; Rashford, Pogba, Sancho; Cristiano Ronaldo.
Atlético Madrid: Oblak; Llorente, Savic, Giménez, Mandava, Lodi; Herrera, Koke, De Paul; Félix, Griezmann.

The odds for Manchester United (2.17), draw (3.25) and Atlético Madrid (3.70) are even because of the uncertainty of who will win the match.

A good combined bet can be -4.5 total goals and +4.5 total cards which gives an odd of 1.52 and can be somewhat safe.

If Cristiano Ronaldo scores at least two goals you can get a great odd of 11.00, while a card for Harry Maguire (2.75) and a card for Reinildo Mandava (3.00) are good options.

Ajax – Benfica (1:30 AM)

The other Champions League match to be played today is the second leg between Ajax and Benfica and it is no less than the highlight of the day: the first leg in Portugal resulted in a 2-2 draw.

Ajax arrived as the best team in the Champions League group stage with six consecutive victories and had the top scorer of the competition -Sébastien Haller- although they were unable to beat one of the best defensive teams in this tournament.

Benfica, third in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, left Barcelona on the road and faces a great team that is the leader of the Dutch Eredivisie, but it will not be easy at the Amsterdam Arena.

Ajax: Onana; Rensch, Schuurs, Martinez, Blind; Alvarez, Gravenberch; Antony, Berghuis, Tadic; Haller.

Benfica: Vlachodimos; Gilberto, Otamendi, Vertonghen, Grimaldo; Silva, Taarabt, Weigl, Everton; Nunez, Ramos.

Ajax is a clear favorite with 1.35 odds, but the draw in the first leg increases the desire to go with the 5.60 offered for that result. A Benfica win pays 8.00 odds.

Haller, scorer of a goal in the first leg and another against, has odds of 5.30 if he scores at least two goals, while +1.5 shots on goal for Haller has a good odd of 1.70 to combine with any other aspect of the match.

+61.5 possession for Ajax offers odds of 1.60 and is interesting considering that away in Portugal they had 60% of the ball, while +2.5 offsides for Ajax pays 1.60 and is also good considering the three offsides they had in the first leg.
