The Champions League is on fire with tremendous matches in the Quarterfinals, but the most shocking match could be played without people in the stands.
Chelsea was sanctioned for being owned by the Russian Roman Abramovich: its assets are frozen and it cannot generate income. In addition, it is not allowed to sell merchandising, operations, and renovations of players and cannot sell tickets.
Official from UEFA :
Chelsea will play have to play at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of QF.
Chelsea will play Manchester City or Atletico Madrid AWAY in the first leg of the Semi Finals, should they beat Real.

In the midst of the unusual sanction of the British Government, the Champions League match between Chelsea and Real Madrid was put on standby because -for the time being- there could be no public at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea fans have a fixed season ticket for all Premier League home games and Champions League tickets must be purchased for around 25 pounds. But with the sanction, they cannot do so.

In addition, Real Madrid fans who want to attend will also not have the doors open to them. As the sanction applies to everyone, who wants to buy tickets at Stamford Bridge.
After the draw where the Champions League Quarter-Finals were defined, Thomas Tuchel spoke at a press conference and was asked about the issue:
“This game is for the people, hopefully, we will find a solution soon”
Anyway, Chelsea had another issue to solve. Before the Champions League match: tomorrow they will play tomorrow at Riverside against Middlesbrough for the FA Cup Quarter Final. And, as they could not sell tickets for the Blues fans who wanted to go away. They asked for the match to be played behind closed doors and in equal conditions.
The request was denied by the FA and Middlesbrough officials mocked the claim as “bizarre”. Now we will have to wait to see what decision UEFA takes. And if they want to see an important duel with the shocking image that there will be no people in the stands.
