Recently, India defeated England by 5 wickets in the third ODI match due to Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten century. With this win, Team India took the series 2-1. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant scored 125 runs in 113 balls for India consisting of 16 fours and 2 sixes. He was awarded Man of the Match for his impressive innings. He got a lot of support from coach Rahul Dravid.

Despite proving one of the most fearless batsmen in the Indian cricket team, before this innings, there were questions about Pant’s place in the limited-overs.  With his century, he proved that he can play in all formats.

It was the same ground where former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni played the last match of his golden career and an era came to an end now Pant continued his legacy by scoring his maiden ODI century on this ground.

In the third match against England, the captain of Team India Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited England to bat first. The host England was reduced to 259 runs in 45.5 overs in this match. In response, India won the match by scoring 261 runs in 42.1 overs with Pant’s century and Hardik Pandya’s blistering 71 runs.

On this tour of England, Team India won the T20 series by 2-1. Earlier, India had to face defeat in the rescheduled fifth test match.

With the tremendously fantabulous performance by Rishabh Pant, everyone has got amazed. When someone is calling Pant ultra-aggressive, the Former Pakistani Skipper Rashid Latif made a very funny statement about him while speaking to his YouTube channel ‘Caught Behind’. He appreciated the Pant’s game and said, “ Uska to Chala to chaand tak, nahin toh Shaam tak. We all know that about him. That stumping scare he survived…Jos Buttler falls in that same category. But I would say that his batting was outstanding, especially against fast bowlers, and the balance he showed in his execution. And this is not the first time we have seen this. This England tour, the previous one, in the series against South Africa…Rishabh’s name is always there.”

We will be watching Pant in the T20I series against West Indies which is a five-match tournament.
