Bundesliga – Bayern Munich is not living good days and its coach received death threats. The German team was left out of the Champions League and, added to the elimination in the German Cup, the internal situation exploded. Under Nagelsmann’s hand, they are only fighting for another local title.

Julian Nagelsmann assured that after every game he receives death threats. The Bayern Munich coach said that it doesn’t matter what the result of the match is. And that they are more when the team plays with three and not four defenders.
Bayern Munich was knocked out of the Champions League in the quarterfinals. And the defeat to Villarreal left a tough moment that Nagelsmann exposed at a press conference:
“I get death threats after every game. It doesn’t matter whether we win or lose. I read the first line and delete it. Sometimes they also include my mother, which I think is excessive. The threats are more when we play with three defenders.”

Nagelsmann’s contact with the press was his first after the Champions League elimination. In the match against Villarreal, Bayern Munich played with three defenders.
The use of the three-man backline was the target of criticism from various quarters. Among them the former chairman of the Bayern Munich Board of Management, Karlheinz Rummenigge. Of which Nagelsmann said:
“I am aware that I have to accept criticism from all sides. That’s normal, it’s part of the job. Rummenigge’s criticism is something I can live with. Except for the 450 death threats.”

Bundesliga is not enough for Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich leads the Bundesliga by 9 points over Borussia Dortmund. And they are sure to be champions again. But they were knocked out of the DFB-Pokal in the second round with a painful 5-0 defeat by Borussia Monchengladbach.
While the Champions League elimination against Villarreal left Nagelsmann’s term in office faltering. He only managed to repeat the good performance in the Bundesliga and he himself admits it:
“When you are eliminated in two out of three competitions, it is natural for the coach to be criticized. I accept that and continue to work.”
Mistakes happen. Tonight Julian Nagelsmann made his fair share which costed Bayern Munich a place in the UCL semifinal.
I don’t care if I’m in the minority, but I’ll continue to back him. We’ll come back stronger. Even the greatest fail every now and again… pic.twitter.com/LhP6rQUYfS

The goal now, according to Nagelsmann, is to win the next two games to secure a tenth consecutive Bundesliga title. And then start planning for next season about which he did not want to go into detail:
“For sure we have a couple of points where something needs to be done. We have a squad that has played together for a long time. On the one hand, that’s good. Because the players know each other. But when you’ve been successful for a long time there comes a time when you need new blood.”
“In our conversations, he always seems to me as if he would like to stay. I would of course like to have him in my team and hopefully the near future will tell”. pic.twitter.com/CGjFGlDlfa
