Bhuvneshwar Kumar Is Looking Tired, He Will Be Fine After Resting In South Africa Series – Former Australia Opener Matthew Hayden

Bhuvneshwar Kumar looks tired, is what the former Australian opener Mathew Hayden feels. Mathew Hayden says that the bowler looks tired of continuous playing and will feel fine after he gets a bit of rest while his other teammates play against South Africa in a 3-match T20I series, starting from 28th September 2022.

Hayden while speaking to Star Sports says,

“I think he looks tired and fast bowlers are allowed to get tired. We have seen Virat Kohli’s example, he has had a couple of breaks. That can make all the difference. If a fast bowler is tired, it means that his energy is not there in the ball. I am sure he will be fine. You have got Bumrah back now, I think that combination is going to be key,”

After not performing in the first game as expected against Australia, Bhuvi was given a match rest while India was clashing against Australia in the second T20I, but after close analysis, it probably was felt by the team management to ask Bhuvi to join back again, but again poor showmanship was seen from the razor-sharp player.

Everyone knows what capabilities Bhuvi is equipped with, but probably due to excessive cricket, he hasn’t been able to showcase his real skills, especially in the crucial hours. Even Rohit Sharma, the captain felt the same and said during the post-match conference that he needs some space,

“With Bhuvi, it’s important that we give him that space because when you have a guy like him in the team and the quality that he brings, we know that he’s had more good days and bad days,”

Rest is important especially for the players who are the key, for example, Virat Kohli, took some rest which eventually helped cop-up, which although took a little longer but came out as a result for the player. It all started at the Asia Cup 2022, where Virat scored his first century against Afghanistan and after that, he is not seeing any time back. Even in the series against Australia, he was amongst the top scorers.

India is going to clash against their next opponents i.e., South Africa and it will again be a three-match T20I series and a most notable one.
