Deadline Day Updates:

Barcelona closed two reinforcements

The Catalan club decided for the last day a surprise and another bet: Adama Traoré and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Traoré had his training as a footballer at La Masía and will return to Barcelona with the aim of proving that they were wrong when they let him go to the Premier League.

Wolverhampton loaned him until the end of the season with a purchase option for 35 million euros and, although the footballer does not fit into Xavi’s style of play, he will surely become a starter due to Barcelona ‘s need.

The other player who arrived and appears to be more of a gamble than reality is Aubameyang, kicked out of the Gabon and Arsenal national teams for indiscipline.

From the London team they wanted him to continue his career away from the Premier League and, when the options did not appear, from Barcelona they looked at him to bet on his football recovery in an environment that is still in doubt if it will help him.

Lyon has an old acquaintance

After Bruno Guimaraes left for Newcastle in the Premier League, Olympique Lyonnais decided to go in search of Tanguy Ndombele, who found the best version of him at the French club and from there he went to Tottenham non-stop.

The French midfielder will return home on loan with a purchase option of 65 million euros.

Tottenham looked for specific players and let go of big names

Antonio Conte’s team was clear that they needed to strengthen the middle of the field, bring in players capable of generating play and for that reason they went in search of two specific names, both from Juventus, but not before letting go of great values.

Dejan Kulusevski, a great performer with the Ukraine national team, arrived in London on loan and with a purchase option of 40 million plus variables.

Rodrigo Bentancur, a midfielder from Uruguay who came to Juventus from Boca Juniors, earned him a total of 19 million plus another 8 in variables, of which 7 must fill the accounts of the Argentine club that formed him.

If Tottenham wanted to go in search of these two names that Conte had asked for in particular, they had to first let go of great players, such as the aforementioned Ndombele, who was joined at the last minute by Lo Celso, Delle Ali and Gil, all without playing time. London.

Everton looking to rebuild

The Toffees closed the first stage of the Premier League in 16th place and only 4 points from the relegation zone, so they decided to fire Rafa Benítez from the technical direction and look for players of good stature.

In addition to the addition of Frank Lampard as team manager, Everton went in search of two great players who have the same goal as the team, to rebuild, and need minutes: Delle Ali and Donny van de Beek.

The striker did not have the consideration of Conte in Tottenham Hotspur and arrived at the Liverpool city team in exchange for 40 million, a figure quite questionable by a player who aims to be part of the England national team again for the World Cup of FIFA Qatar 2022.

Van de Beek was one of the names that passed through the offices of all the Premier League teams during the first six months of the season and ended up arranging his arrival at Everton on loan until July.

The Dutch player will wear the number 30 shirt as he did at Ajax, before his move to Manchester United.

Villarreal took a champion

The Yellow Submarine took advantage of the fact that Tottenham was on offer and closed the incorporation of Giovanni Lo Celso on loan for six months until the end of the season.

Lo Celso needed to find a team that would give him the necessary minutes and that he did not have under Conte’s command at Tottenham in order to aspire to a place with Argentina in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Manchester City takes a South American promise

As we told you at PlayOn99 News, Julián Álvarez had the money to go to a big club in Europe and his arrival at Manchester City was confirmed.

The Citizens disbursed about 20 million euros for the River Plate striker, who will stay at the Argentine club at least until June and, in case of advancing in the Copa Libertadores and Manchester City wants to take him earlier, they will have to pay another 2 million extra.
