Gala night in the USA: the All-Star Game of Cleveland 2022 had show, fun, points and a winning shot by LeBron James. Curry won the MVP and the NBA once again made it clear that they are the only ones to be able to bring together so many sports stars – Playon99 News

The NBA All-Star Game is the greatest constellation of stars that exists in the basketball universe and more in this 2022 in which the National Basketball Association celebrates its 75th anniversary.

A perfect occasion to pay tribute to the men who made this league a worldwide reference and who received the best possible recognition by the grace of Stephen Curry, who led Team LeBron to a 163-160 victory over Team Durant.

The point guard, booed by part of the Cleveland crowd despite being originally from the state of Ohio, decided that the date was ideal to make history and put on the alien suit that we have seen him so many times to give the fans one of the best performances of the All Star.

Curry was just two points shy of Anthony Davis’ scoring record (52 goals in 2017) after scoring 50 points in a game in which he proved that he is the last great basketball revolutionary.

The man who has been able to change the paradigm of the game from three-point range, turning any corner of the court into a threat when he has the ball in his hands, has made it so that there are no longer any impossible places to score from.

He proved it again in the big All-Star game, a game in which he broke the record for three-pointers made, leaving Paul George’s nine in the dust as he made one after another to reach 16.

Sixteen three-point shots and only one two-point basket, symbolizing that change in the game, earned him the first All-Star Game MVP of his career.

Curry lived one of his trance moments in the third quarter with four consecutive three-pointers that seemed to leave sentenced the MVP, but not the game.

With this system in which each quarter of the first three is a new story, the only thing the two teams tried to do was to keep the differences as close as possible to the last quarter, which is when they really compete.

With the score 139-138 in favor of LeBron’s team, the moment of truth arrived. The last quarter began with the addition of the 24 points that serve as a perennial tribute to Kobe Bryant to the score of the leading team: 163 points.

That was the frontier that had to be reached to win and while Curry insisted on shooting over and over again in search of a record that never came -17 of 30 in field goals and 16 of 27- LeBron James and Giannis Antetokoumpo were in charge of getting closer to the goal.

A goal that they reached by the hand of a LeBron who did not want to give up all the protagonism of his party and who ended up being decisive with a basket at the halfway point that closed his fifth victory as captain and general manager of his teams in the All-Star.

A game played in Cleveland could not fail to have a special place reserved for LeBron James, the man who made the Ohio franchise great and gave them what is still the only ring in history.

Kevin Durant’s team, out due to injury and absent after the death of his grandmother, commanded for much of the game, took the second quarter and was able to tie the third by the hand of Joel Embiid who in any other circumstance would have been the MVP of the night with 36 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.

The Cameroonian was the leader of a team in which Dejounte Murray and LaMelo Ball seemed to be a little more serious than the others when it came to competing.

However, they could not overcome the scoring power of a team that on paper was the favorite and that ended up fulfilling that condition thanks to the Big Three formed by Antetokounmpo (30+12), LeBron James (24+8+6 and the winning basket) and a Stephen Curry who became the third oldest player to win the MVP of an All-Star after Shaquille O’Neal and Michael Jordan, present in the stands.
